Se murió como…un acordeón. It’s true. I had a moment last weekend in which my life flashed before my eyes, mostly in retrospect, though, because at the scene, it took me a while to process. I was involved in an accident with a semi truck, and I won’t say more than that. But I climbed right out of the car in one piece, and it was only later that I realized my accordion probably didn’t survive. I checked, of course; it was crumpled in the accordion that the back end of my car had become. Is that an appropriately poetic way for an accordion to die? I’m not sure yet, but it’s always better to laugh than cry. Well, it’s not always better. But when God spares your life on the interstate, I’d say laughter is an appropriate response.
¡Ay! ¡Que lástima!
I figured out how to enable Español idioma on my phone’s keyboard just to type that. That’s how dedicated I am to this comment.
Glad you’re okay. God rules!

The ease of Spanish on my phone keyboard makes me want to type all blog posts on my phone. I do have a Spanish keyboard on my laptop, but it has a learning curve that makes me slower at typing.
I’m glad I’m okay, too. When I review the accident in my head, I shudder. It was a four car accident that could have been deadly, and yet everyone walked away. God indeed rules!

God be praised for sparing your life. It is amazing how blithely we go along with our lives never giving a thought to how He protects us at times. While I’m sorry you had to go through this, I am appreciative of the reminder of just how precious life is.

Yes, I think he sent his guardian angels to watch over me that day, not to mention over the other people involved.

Yikes! I am so pleased and grateful you climbed out of the car in one piece!
I am sorry about the accordion, but yes, very funny. That is quite an appropriate way for an accordion to die.
